Jenny Doughty BSc Dip PT: Director/Sports Massage Therapist
Having been involved with the Health and Fitness industry for the last ten years, my understanding and knowledge of how the body functions and its incredible ability to adapt to its environment in both a positive and negative manner, have spiralled into a passion.
The knowledge I gained in my Sports Science and Biology degree kept my desire for learning alive, leading to my qualification as a Sports Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer and Nutritional Adviser.
During my time as Petersfield Rugby Club's Sports Massage Therapist, I began running my own clinic. I was responsible for the treatment and management of players' injuries, rehabilitation, prehabilitation, nutrition and pitch-side first aid. My emphasis was looking at the whole player or client, ensuring they returned fully fit from their injury, and in many cases stronger and fitter than they were before.
As a Nutritional Adviser, I work with clients to improve their general nutrition, including weight loss or gain through a thorough understanding of the food they eat, the way their bodies react and their eating patterns. I have worked with a wide range of clients from beginners to athletes, and my aim is to find the source of the client's problem, whether it is an injury, postural issue, muscle imbalance or weakness, a flexibility or mobility issue, or even related to another area of the body. So let me help you to get the best out of your life and your own body.
Give me a call; don't accept pain as the norm - act now!
Kipp Clark MICHT: Holistic Therapist & Specialist in the Treatment of Pain
My move into holistic therapies and advanced bodywork began in 2003, while travelling in South-East Asia. I am particularly interested in treating pain and injuries, and so have developed my skills in this area. I have been able to help many patients recover from chronic pain, many who had previously tried a range of therapies, which offered them only limited relief. My thirst for knowledge, however, is far from sated, and I hope to study many other therapies and techniques in the future.
I practise as a Holistic Therapist, which means considering the entire body, as pain or problems in one part of the body may be due to dysfunction in another area of the body. Working holistically also means considering the close relationship between the mind and body when developing a tailored treatment plan. When treating a patient I usually use a combination of appropriate therapies, as this makes the treatment more effective. With a broad knowledge of nutritional and herbal supplements, I can also advise patients on supplements that may benefit their health.
I look forward to meeting you, and helping you to overcome any discomfort, muscle tension or health problems that you are experiencing.
Vicki Styles BSc (Hons) MSST: Sports Therapist
I first developed a keen interest in sports injuries at a young age due to my own experiences as a county and southern region netball player. Through this I realised the importance of appropriate treatment techniques, focused on finding and treating the underlying cause to each problem area, and in doing so using a 'whole body approach' to speed up recovery and prevent injury reoccurrence. It was this insight, combined with my wish to be able to help the injured athlete that further fuelled my desire to become a Sports Therapist
I gained my First Class honours degree at the University of Chichester and am a fully accredited and insured member of the Society of Sports Therapists. I am currently working with Worthing Rugby Club (National 2 South) and Readingensians Rugby Club (National 3 South) providing assessment, treatment and pitch side first aid trauma management cover on match days to both amateur and professional players who sustain a wide range of injuries. I also work with professional rugby sevens teams during the 'off' season.
From the knowledge and experience I have gained through both my sport and professional career, I understand first hand the desire to return back as safely and quickly as possible, to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sport specific fitness after injury. My passion and commitment for health and fitness, along with my belief in a proactive approach to treatment will ensure that essential high treatment success is achieved. Working together we can get you back on the rapid road to recovery so arrange a consultation for treatment today.
